Anti-NEPH2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NEPH2 is a known alias name of the protein kirre like nephrin family adhesion molecule 3, encoded by the KIRREL3 gene in humans. This 778-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and brain development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in fetal and adult brain.
