Anti-LCN10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein lipocalin 10. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 187 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.8 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the epididymis. A member of the Lipocalin protein family, Lcn10 is believed to play a role in male fertility. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include epididymal-specific lipocalin-10. LCN10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and rat species. Western Blot is the most common application for the Lcn10 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
