Anti-BAF155 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BAF155 is a known alias name of the protein SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily c member 1, encoded by the SMARCC1 gene in humans. This 1105-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain, heart, muscle, placenta, lung, liver, muscle, kidney and pancreas. Other synonyms for BAF155 include CRACC1 and HYC5. Western Blot is the most common application for the BAF155 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
