Anti-ADPN antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The ADPN antigen is another term for the human protein adiponectin, C1Q and collagen domain containing, encoded by the ADIPOQ gene. The protein is known to be an important adipokine involved in the control of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, with direct anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory activities. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 244 residues and a mass of 26.4 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein. Other alias names for ADPN include ACDC, ACRP30, and ADIPQTL1. Indicated applications for ADPN antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
