Anti-Prostasin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Prostasin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRSS8 gene, which encodes serine protease 8. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions and proteolysis, among other biological roles. The human version of Prostasin has a canonical amino acid length of 343 residues and a protein mass of 36.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells. This target antigen may also be known as CAP1. A number of Prostasin antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
