Anti-hJ2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target hJ2 is a known alias name of the protein jagged canonical Notch ligand 2, encoded by the JAG2 gene in humans. This 1238-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the differentiation of certain cell types, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be expressed in the heart, placenta and skeletal muscle and to a lesser extent in the pancreas. Other synonyms for hJ2 include LGMDR27 and SER2.
