Anti-RALDH1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RALDH1 is a known alias name of the protein aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A1, encoded by the ALDH1A1 gene in humans. This 501-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a cytosolic dehydrogenase that catalyzes the irreversible oxidation of a wide range of aldehydes to their corresponding carboxylic acid. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features acetylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is noted to be expressed by erythrocytes. Other synonyms for RALDH1 include ALDC, ALDH-E1, and ALDH1. Western Blot is the most common application for the RALDH1 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
