Anti-IFIX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IFIX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PYHIN1 gene, which encodes pyrin and HIN domain family member 1. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle and DNA damage pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of IFIX has a canonical amino acid length of 492 residues and a protein mass of 55.1 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, lymph node, and appendix. IFIX is a member of the HIN-200 protein family.
