Anti-LIPO antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LIPO antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HMGA2 gene, which encodes high mobility group AT-hook 2. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of LIPO has a canonical amino acid length of 109 residues and a protein mass of 11.8 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include BABL, HMGI-C, and HMGIC. Indicated applications for LIPO antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence.
