Anti-Fts antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene AKTIP, or 'AKT interacting protein' in humans. The 292-amino acid protein is a member of the Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family, FTS subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic and membrane-associated.
