Anti-MIEN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein migration and invasion enhancer 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 115 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon, testis, and adrenal gland. A member of the SelWTH protein family, MIEN1 is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include HBV XAg-transactivated protein 4, protein C17orf37, and HBV X-transactivated gene 4 protein. MIEN1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of MIEN1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
