Anti-PITP alpha antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PITP alpha is a known alias name of the protein phosphatidylinositol transfer protein alpha, encoded by the PITPNA gene in humans. This 270-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the transfer of phosphatidylinositol (PI) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) between membranes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. Other synonyms for PITP alpha include HEL-S-36 and PITPN.
