Anti-GTH4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GTH4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GSTM1 gene, which encodes glutathione S-transferase mu 1. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of GTH4 has a canonical amino acid length of 218 residues and a protein mass of 25.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include GST1, GSTM1-1, and GSTM1a-1a.
