Anti-NHA2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NHA2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC9B2 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 9 member B2. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the transport of ions, among other biological roles. The human version of NHA2 has a canonical amino acid length of 537 residues and a protein mass of 57.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells. NHA2 is a member of the Monovalent cation:proton antiporter 1 (CPA1) transporter (TC 2.A.36) protein family.
