Anti-MAGEC3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein MAGE family member C3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 643 amino acid residues and a mass of 71.9 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis. MAGEC3 is known to be involved with the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include MAGE family testis and tumor-specific protein, MAGE-C3 antigen, cancer/testis antigen 7.2, cancer/testis antigen family 7, member 2, and melanoma-associated antigen C3. MAGEC3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Some MAGEC3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
