Anti-CCDC120 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil domain containing 120. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 630 amino acid residues and a mass of 67.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. CCDC120 is known to be a centriolar protein required for centriole subdistal appendage assembly and microtubule anchoring in interphase cells. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain-containing protein 120. CCDC120 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some CCDC120 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
