Anti-KCC2 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene SLC12A5, or 'solute carrier family 12 member 5' in humans. The 1139-amino acid protein is a member of the SLC12A transporter family. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
