Anti-TIM22 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TIM22 is a known alias name of the protein translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane 22, encoded by the TIMM22 gene in humans. This 194-amino acid residue protein is known to be an important core component of the TIM22 complex, a complex that mediates the import and insertion of multi-pass transmembrane proteins into the mitochondrial inner membrane. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. Other synonyms for TIM22 include COXPD43 and TEX4. Indicated applications for TIM22 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
