Anti-TECT1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TECT1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TCTN1 gene, which encodes tectonic family member 1. This protein is known to function in cilium assembly and in utero embryonic development, among other biological roles. The human version of TECT1 has a canonical amino acid length of 587 residues and a protein mass of 63.6 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm and is secreted of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. TECT1 is a member of the Tectonic protein family.
