Anti-PKACA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PKACA is a known alias name of the protein protein kinase cAMP-activated catalytic subunit alpha, encoded by the PRKACA gene in humans. This 351-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in GPCR signaling pathways and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PKACA include CAFD1 and PPNAD4. Western Blot is the most common application for the PKACA antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
