Anti-TRS85 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TRS85 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TRAPPC8 gene, which encodes trafficking protein particle complex subunit 8. This protein is known to function in Golgi transport and Golgi organization, among other biological roles. The human version of TRS85 has a canonical amino acid length of 1435 residues and a protein mass of 161 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include GSG1, HsT2706, and KIAA1012.
