Anti-SURF6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein surfeit 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 361 amino acid residues and a mass of 41.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the SURF6 protein family, SURF6 is known to bind to both DNA and RNA in vitro, with a stronger binding capacity for RNA. Synonyms for this target antigen include RRP14 and surfeit locus protein 6. SURF6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the SURF6 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
