Anti-IRAP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IRAP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LNPEP gene, which encodes leucyl and cystinyl aminopeptidase. This protein is known to function in cell to cell signaling and protein ubiquitination, among other biological roles. The human version of IRAP has a canonical amino acid length of 1025 residues and a protein mass of 117.3 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. IRAP is a member of the Peptidase M1 protein family.
