Anti-USP31 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ubiquitin specific peptidase 31. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1352 amino acid residues and a mass of 146.7 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Peptidase C19 protein family, USP31 is believed to recognize and hydrolyze the peptide bond at the C-terminal Gly of ubiquitin. Synonyms for this target antigen include deubiquitinating enzyme 31, ubiquitin specific proteinase 31, ubiquitin thioesterase 31, ubiquitin thiolesterase 31, ubiquitin-specific-processing protease 31, and ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 31. USP31 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA is the most common application for the USP31 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
