Anti-pro1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target pro1 is a known alias name of the protein zinc metallopeptidase STE24, encoded by the ZMPSTE24 gene in humans. This 475-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and ER of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types.
