Anti-Cdc4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Cdc4 is a known alias name of the protein F-box and WD repeat domain containing 7, encoded by the FBXW7 gene in humans. This 707-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a substrate recognition component of a SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for Cdc4 include AGO and AGO. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Cdc4 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
