Anti-arb1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target arb1 is a known alias name of the protein arrestin beta 1, encoded by the ARRB1 gene in humans. This 418-amino acid residue protein is reported to function in regulating agonist-mediated G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling by mediating both receptor desensitization and resensitization processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
