Anti-Tetran antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Tetran is a known alias name of the protein major facilitator superfamily domain containing 10, encoded by the MFSD10 gene in humans. This 455-amino acid residue protein is a suspected organic anion transporter which may serve as a transporter for some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) as well as other organic anions across the luminal membranes of renal proximal tubules at the final excretion step into the urine. It is localized to the nucleus and cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in luminal membrane of renal tubules. Other synonyms for Tetran include TETTRAN and major facilitator superfamily domain-containing protein 10.
