Anti-Simp antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Simp is a known alias name of the protein fibroblast activation protein alpha, encoded by the FAP gene in humans. This 760-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in angiogenesis and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in adipose tissue.
