Anti-ASE1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ASE1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRC1 gene, which encodes protein regulator of cytokinesis 1. This protein is known to function in cell division and cytoskeleton organization, among other biological roles. The human version of ASE1 has a canonical amino acid length of 620 residues and a protein mass of 71.6 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. ASE1 is a member of the MAP65/ASE1 protein family.
