Anti-CD118 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CD118 antigen is another term for the human protein LIF receptor subunit alpha, encoded by the LIFR gene. The protein is known to function in receptor-mediated signaling pathways and cytokine-mediated signaling pathways, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1097 residues and a mass of 123.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. The CD118 protein is a member of the Type I cytokine receptor protein family. Other alias names for CD118 include SJS2 and STWS. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for CD118 antibodies.
