Anti-NBC1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NBC1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC4A4 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 4 member 4. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions and transmembrane transport, among other biological roles. The human version of NBC1 has a canonical amino acid length of 1079 residues and a protein mass of 121.5 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the small intestine, pancreas, kidney, gallbladder, and cerebellum. Other names for this target antigen include HNBC1 and KNBC. Indicated applications for NBC1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
