Anti-FSIP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein fibrous sheath interacting protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 6907 amino acid residues and a mass of 780.6 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis. FSIP2 is reported to play a role in spermatogenesis. The FSIP2 gene has been associated with the disease, Spermatogenic failure. FSIP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are common applications for FSIP2 antibodies.
