Anti-Ubc7 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Ubc7 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UBE2G2 gene, which encodes ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 G2. This protein is known to accept ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. The human version of Ubc7 has a canonical amino acid length of 165 residues and a protein mass of 18.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Ubc7 is a member of the Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the Ubc7 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
