Anti-Nap1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Nap1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NAP1L1 gene, which encodes nucleosome assembly protein 1 like 1. This protein is known to function in DNA replication and nervous system development, among other biological roles. The human version of Nap1 has a canonical amino acid length of 391 residues and a protein mass of 45.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Nap1 is a member of the Nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) protein family.
