Anti-LCN6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein lipocalin 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 163 amino acid residues and a mass of 18 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the epididymis. A member of the Lipocalin protein family, LCN6 is believed to play a role in male fertility. Synonyms for this target antigen include epididymal-specific lipocalin LCN6, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, lipocalin 5, and epididymal-specific lipocalin-6. LCN6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and bovine species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the LCN6 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
