Anti-RPF2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosome production factor 2 homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 306 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the RPF2 protein family, RPF2 is known to be involved in ribosomal large subunit assembly. Synonyms for this target antigen include brix domain-containing protein 1, homolog of Rpf2, ribosomal processing factor 2 homolog, ribosome biogenesis protein RPF2 homolog, and brix domain containing 1. RPF2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These RPF2 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
