Anti-Gap junction protein beta 3 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GJB3 in humans. The gene may also be known as CX31, DFNA2, DFNA2B, EKV, gap junction beta-3 protein, and connexin 31. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 30.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
