Anti-ER degradation enhancing alpha-mannosidase like protein 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene EDEM1 in humans. The gene may also be known as EDEM, ER degradation enhancer, mannosidase alpha-like 1, and ER degradation-enhancing alpha-mannosidase-like 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 73.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
