Anti-ARHGAP42 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Rho GTPase activating protein 42. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 874 amino acid residues and a mass of 98.6 kDa. ARHGAP42 is believed to influence blood pressure by functioning as a GTPase-activating protein for RHOA in vascular smooth muscle. Synonyms for this target antigen include rho-type GTPase-activating protein 42 and transmembrane protein 133. ARHGAP42 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ARHGAP42 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies.
