Anti-IQCJ-SCHIP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein IQCJ-SCHIP1 readthrough. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 563 amino acid residues and a mass of 62.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections and cytoplasm. Up to 9 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and to a lower extent in the heart and kidney. IQCJ-SCHIP1 is believed to play a role in action potential conduction in myelinated cells through the organization of molecular complexes at nodes of Ranvier and axon initial segments. Synonyms for this target antigen include IQ motif containing J-schwannomin interacting protein 1 fusion protein, IQ motif containing J-schwannomin interacting protein 1 read-through transcript, and IQCJ-SCHIP1 readthrough transcript protein. IQCJ-SCHIP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse species. Indicated applications for IQCJ-SCHIP1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
