Anti-NGFb antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NGFb antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NGF gene, which encodes nerve growth factor. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the regulation of cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of NGFb has a canonical amino acid length of 241 residues and a protein mass of 27 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include Beta-NGF and HSAN5. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for NGFb antibodies.
