Anti-TAS2R20 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein taste 2 receptor member 20. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 309 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be expressed in subsets of taste receptor cells of the tongue and exclusively in gustducin-positive cells. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor T2R protein family, TAS2R20 is a known receptor that may play a role in the perception of bitterness and is gustducin-linked. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include taste receptor type 2 member 56, taste receptor, type 2, member 49, and taste receptor type 2 member 20. Western Blot is the most common application for the TAS2R20 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
