Anti-SDF1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SDF1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CXCL12 gene, which encodes C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 12. This protein is known to function in axon guidance and cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of SDF1 has a canonical amino acid length of 93 residues and a protein mass of 10.7 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the testis. Other names for this target antigen include IRH, PBSF, and SCYB12.
