Anti-PSMG4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein proteasome assembly chaperone 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 123 amino acid residues and a mass of 13.8 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the PSMG4 protein family, PSMG4 is reported to be a chaperone protein, which promotes assembly of the 20S proteasome. Synonyms for this target antigen include hPAC4, proteasome (prosome, macropain) assembly chaperone 4, and PAC-4. PSMG4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These PSMG4 antibodies are widely used in Immunocytochemistry experiments, among other applications.
