Anti-PCDHB8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protocadherin beta 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 801 amino acid residues and a mass of 87.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. PCDHB8 is known to be involved with cell adhesion and nervous system development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include protocadherin-3i. PCDHB8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and bovine species. These PCDHB8 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
