Anti-CD218a antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD218a is a known alias name of the protein interleukin 18 receptor 1, encoded by the IL18R1 gene in humans. This 541-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in immune response pathways and inflammatory response pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in leukocytes, spleen, lung. The term CDw218a is another synonym for CD218a. Western Blot is the most common application for the CD218a antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
