Anti-CD156b antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD156b is a known alias name of the protein ADAM metallopeptidase domain 17, encoded by the ADAM17 gene in humans. This 824-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in B cell differentiation and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated, cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for CD156b include ADAM18 and CSVP. Western Blot is a widely used application for the CD156b antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
