Anti-CATB antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CATB is a known alias name of the protein tyrosinase related protein 1, encoded by the TYRP1 gene in humans. This 537-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in melanin biosynthesis. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the small intestine, skin, rectum, duodenum, and colon. Other synonyms for CATB include CAS2 and GP75. Indicated applications for CATB antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
