Anti-REG antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the REG antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the REG1A gene, which encodes regenerating family member 1 alpha. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of REG has a canonical amino acid length of 166 residues and a protein mass of 18.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the small intestine, pancreas, kidney, and duodenum. Other names for this target antigen include ICRF, P19, and PSP. Indicated applications for REG antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
